We will for the first time be sending a team to Hong Kong to play in the HKFC's mini-rugby tournament on the 30th October, flying up on the afternoon of the 29th October.
The organisers are looking to make this the largest mini-rugby tournament in the world and have contacted the Guinness book of records for accreditation to boot!! The tournament is also being held the same week-end that New Zealand play Australia in the last Bledisloe Cup match and HKFC have kindly been able to secure some tickets for TRC so we can attend the game afterwards!
We are currently arranging to play another team on the Sunday then returning back to Singapore on the mid afternoon flight on Sunday.
As mentioned in previous emails a parent will need to travel with each under 7 player who joins the tour (which is not the case for older age groups as you may be aware) but in the under 7's we are catering accordingly.
We have already committed and paid deposits for 24 plane seats (i.e. for 12 kids and 12 parents) and hotels have also been booked. Some parents have already kindly reverted to earlier e-mails confirming that they would like to tour, and others have I know already made their own travel arrangements.
Now that the tour dates are firm, please send Rick a quick e-mail to confirm your sons availability - sorry for the repetition, (I particularly need to know if you have made your own travel arrangements so I get the right number of Bled tickets sorted.). As this is the first year we have travelled we have decided to send just the one team made up of the strongest players available, though next year we will look to send more.
