The Hong Kong U7s tour (HK U8 category) was a huge success for both the Leopards and Tigers - both squads played fantastic rugby, both unbeaten, each team with 2 wins, 1 draw, in an event that qualified as the worlds largest ever mini rugby event officiated by the Guinness book of records! The tournament was made complete with an afternoon trip to watch the final leg of the Australia vs. New Zealand Bledisloe Cup, an amazing experience for all!
First the Leopards - led by Matt & Jules, what can we say, just what a weekend! 2 Wins, 1 Draw at the Hong Kong Mini Tournament, then to the Sunday morning Discovery Bay friendly the Leopards put in a fantastic performance beating the TRC Tigers (although great challenge from the Tigers!), then drew with the hosting club the Pirates and then drew again with RSC!
Next the Tigers, led by Gary & Paul, hot on the heels of the Leopards, also securing 2 Wins and 1 Draw at the Hong Kong Mini Tournament - great result! Then to Discovery Bay on Sunday morning, the Tigers player their hearts out against all teams and while not taking a game they went very close to causing a number of upsets!! Watch out Leopards, here come the Tigers!
With so many tries it was hard to catch them all on camera! A couple of shots left & below of Lauren & Sam storming over the line for the Tigers!
